Abandonded contest prize splits... NEW PROCEDURES

Hi there

Abandoned contests prize splits will start back up!

We will be prize splitting this way

I will post the contest in the forums, designers chat, the voting will remain for  2 weeks, votes then tallied and awarded

designers will reply to the post with the entry they want as gold

The top  3 entries voted  on will get the prize split

So there will be 3 payouts on abandoned contests now

MUlti prize  will be the same process   so when a contest is posted simpley reply with the entry you think should win the gold/prize

Designers still own the winning entries  and the medal counts will not increase for abandoned  voted wins.

1. there should be some voting restrictions; like new accounts, who never won a contest, client accounts, ...etc.

2. some sort of fraud prevention should be put in place!

3. I suggest to put some programmatically & centralized/ing solution to help @sharie manage the abandoned contests, and the voting count!

that's a great idea. what I want to ask is whether a design that has been eliminated in the abbandoned contest is allowed to be submitted for voting. or only surviving designs must be submitted. And whether all designers who enter the abbandoned contest are allowed to submit designs for voting or are only designs that have won a medal to be able to submit them. thanks

Good news, especially there will be 3 winners not just one. I agree with @nullobject, that some restrictions must be applied. I remember a lots of new accounts or unused accounts that were suddenly brought to life for voting. Probably top designers who also have 1-1 projects to give some weight and credibility to the vote would be best.

 

is this system final to be implemented? if it's final .... and if there's an abandoned contest, let's give it a try.
