Project description

I am looking for an illustration of our Event Canvas for an upcoming event called All Employee Meeting 2019 for Canada Health Infoway. It is a visual representation of the Event Canvas I have attached. I have included samples of other Event Canvas illustrations for other events so you can see what I am looking for. You can also find more examples here: http://www.eventmodelgeneration.com/. I am happy with any colours you choose. Our Canada Health Infoway (www.infoway-inforoute.ca) corporate colours are red and black but the design can be colourful and bright.

  • I replaced the clipboard panel with two of the main characters out shopping. I also added in some text where the "exiting behavior" head shots are. That can easily be changed or removed. I am still thinking it needs to have some tactically placed narration and thought bubbles here and there, but I don't want to get ahead of myself and drop in a lot of things that will need to be changed later. I've already got a lot of time in this one, and really don't want to carry it forward too far in a direction that may be wrong for you only to have to go back and make a lot of changes.

  • I've done a lot of color shifting, cleaning and organization changes, also I have dropped ALL of the thought and voice bubbles, I plan on selectively adding some back while avoiding clutter.
If there are any specific that you fell have to be there, point them out.

Also, if you see anything that needs changed let me know. I'll be out till this afternoon, and can then I can start making more changes.

Another thing to note, on the top right-hand box, I really wasn't sure what you needed there. I simply have a clipboard sitting in front of an empty window looking over the city. I am very much open to ideas as to what to place there. #5
    • @weiesnbach Thanks - I like the two things you did leave in - our logo and that motto "it's in our DNA" that looks good. The top right box is about things people will gain from the experience of attending this event. They will walk away feeling informed, that they did some team building, they had fun, saw the city, etc.

  • Okay this is obviously not completed, but the deadline is quickly approaching. I've got nearly 30 hours in on this, and put aside my normal work to dedicate some hours to this today. If you like what you see and want to extend the deadline I will continue working on this.

Also please note that if the contest is closed, I can not communicate with you. They lock us out from making comments once it is over. #2
    • @weiesnbach Thanks so much. I like what you're started to come up with. Was really hoping to have this by the deadline so I would like to see if any other submit a complete version. If not, I will of course extend the deadline!

    • @weiesnbach I just extended it!

    • @weiesnbach PS you don't have to put the words/word bubbles in for each section, the images can speak for themselves for some of them - if you look at the examples I attached you'll see what I mean

  • I want to second renatoo_soares question. I see a lot of brainstorming here, but nothing specific as far as what you need illustrated. It might help if we knew what your company does, or what will be discussed at this event, or maybe some kind of basic theme to tie it all together...

...and while for you this might be something that is simply understood without any further explanation, for us seeing this from the outside with no context or inherent understanding of the company, the event, or anything else, this is just a bunch of disjointed keywords that could be applied to any number of things. I say that, not to be rude, but to help you understand where we are, when we see this from the outside.

Everything I am seeing is pretty generic, and while some of it is pretty easy to nail down, some of it is also rather vague, and to be honest I really haven't got a good idea what you actually need or would like to see.

    Some specific questions:

    What is AEM?

    What is "past org experience"?

"Can I bring family?" is posed as a question, what is the answer?

What is "Infoway/Infoway2.0"? What is Infoway's culture?

    What is "ILT"?

"Mix or activities" is mentioned, what specific activities does this include?

    What is QC city(Quebec maybe?)?

What is meant by "I feel more connected to mandate"?
    _________________________________________________________

Also the text is very hard to read, even on the "zoomed in" version, can you post a larger file maybe?

    Thanks in advance.

    • @weiesnbach Hi thanks so much for the question and my apologies if too vague. See above where I answered questions from @renatoo_soares. To answer your more specific questions: Some specific questions: What is AEM? AEM is the short form of the event name - All Employee Meeting What is "past org experience"? - Past experience that employees may have at other organizations that may shape what they think could happen at an all employee event "Can I bring family?" is posed as a question, what is the answer? This does not need answer - perhaps the illustration could be a person with a question mark over their head because they are unsure of things What is "Infoway/Infoway2.0"? What is Infoway's culture? Infoway is the name of our company (full name is Canada Health Infoway). In April 2018 we had a large re-organization and the focus of our organization changed. We called this change Infoway 2.0 because it is basically "the new Infoway" What is "ILT"? Infoway Leadership Team (the top of the org chart) "Mix of activities" is mentioned, what specific activities does this include? There will be a mix of activities at the event - sitting and listening to presentations and keynotes, some networking activities, an offsite dinner, some team building activities, etc. What is QC city(Quebec maybe?)? Yes sorry that means Quebec City (where the event is taking place) What is meant by "I feel more connected to mandate"? Because our company mandate changed with the re-organizations in April 2018, this event should help people "drink the koolaid" aka get on board, understand what we do, feel connected to the work we are doing and proud to be working at this organization. I can post the different sections zoomed in - will do that now!

    • @caitlinburgess Thank you very much, that is incredibly helpful. I may have more questions as I progress, but for now I have a much-much better understanding of what is needed.

  • Hi there, could you give me more information about your meeting event and what you expect to find on the illustration? Perhaps keywords to help better understand what you are looking for.
    • @renatoo_soares Hello thanks so much for your question. Our company is Canada Health Infoway, a digital health organization. Infoway helps to improve the health of Canadians by working with partners to accelerate the development, adoption and effective use of digital health solutions across Canada. Through our investments, we help deliver better quality and access to care and more efficient delivery of health services for patients and clinicians. Established in 2001, Infoway is an independent, not-for-profit organization funded by the federal government. The event is our annual All Employee Meeting, where all of our employees from across Canada come together under one roof to find out about our business updates, hear from external keynote presenters, and to network and team build with employees that they don't always get to see every day. The Event Canvas is a strategic management template for developing new or documenting existing events and conference models. The canvas articulates how the behaviour changes as a result of having participated in the event as well as stating the required levels of satisfaction against expectations. The post it notes you see are the reactions from our employees about expectations, how they feel, their experience journey during the event, and how they will feel afterwards. I'm looking for an illustration (see the examples I attached from other events) of these reactions. I'm looking for key words from the post it notes, images of people and the way they are feeling (based on the post it notes), etc. Please let me know if you have any other questions! I know this is a bit of an odd request because Event Canvas is new so let me know if there is anything else I can tell you to help.
