Project description

We are looking for a remastered / reworked, modern illustration that shows the difference between "equality" and "equity". Our organization focuses on providing health equity in underserved communities (specifically the African American and Black community).

Attached are different illustrated representations of this concept.

Here is a quote on equity versus equality:

"Equity is giving everyone what they need to be successful. Equality is treating everyone the same. Equality aims to promote fairness, but it can only work if everyone starts from the same place and needs the same help."

  • This is my first time entering a contest on DC. I came up with a new idea instead of a rework. Hope to receive your feedback. #1
  • I'm also curious as to the specific size of the poster.
    • @weiesnbach Thanks, A medium poster size should be sufficient. This will mainly be distributed digitally. The max medium size in which this would be printed on would be 61x91 cm. We haven't worked with many illustrations so if you have any recommendations we would be happy to hear them.

  • Hello Contest holder,
    few queries:

What is the required size for the artwork?
Do we have to include the quote with the illustration?

    thanks and regards
