Project description

Team Proposal is a nonprofit website aiming to facilitate international research collaboration and international mobility of researchers.

More specifically, Team Proposal seeks to connect innovative project ideas of young promising researchers with funding opportunities of established research team leaders. In a way, it is just like this design-contest website here. Have a look at our website in progress: teamproposal.com.

I would like you to design a series of four small infographics (that may later be combined to one large infographic) which explain how our website works. There are four steps that need to be visualized in the graphics:

1. A research team leader (for example a professor) that knows of a funding opportunity for research projects but has no time to write yet another grant proposal himself, communicates this opportunity by posting a call for proposals on our website.

2. Young aspiring researchers (for example graduate students) that are interested in this topic but are not eligible yet to apply for funding themselves, propose a project idea to the team leader by submitting a proposal over our website.

3. The team leader then reviews and evaluates the submitted proposals and invites the most promising applicant to a designated work space on the website to collaboratively improve the proposal.

4. After completing the proposal development, team leader and applicant apply for funding together. Provided that the project is funded, the grant money will be used to pay the applicant's future salary at the research institute of the team leader while the applicant is conducting his research project there.

Have a look at the website in progress to adjust your designs to the webdesign: http://teamproposal.com/how-it-works/.

I would like the design of the infographic to look simple and subtle with a hint of playfulness. It should appeal to old professors and young students alike.

Please use only these color codes: blue-black #2F2E33, cobalt #3A5199 and white #FFFFFF.
