Project description

A simple, striking logo that incorporates their name: Parsons' Prairie Farm

FULL COLOR: As with our website we are looking for colors that are light and bright. What we don’t like is too much of the darker colors, the browns, very dark greens, rust etc.

With our name being Parsons’ Prairie Farm we have always envisioned a prairie theme. We don’t like earth tones, wagon wheels, old western prairie, but a more colorful prairie, for example, a sunflower. We really like the idea of a sunflower in our logo but are open to other ideas you might have. We do like a larger, close up logo as opposed to something with a more scenic view.

Since we do not have alpacas in our farm name, we would like to have at least one alpaca in the logo. The alpaca should be a huacaya type and not a suri type alpaca please.

(Please see the uploaded example of their current logo.) We like the colors, we like the sunflower but we are not crazy about way the alpaca silhouettes look. We like the silhouettes idea, ours just seemed a little cartoonlike. We felt our farm name did not look like it fit it with the rest of the logo. We would like it to stand out a little more and be a more prominent part of the logo.

Examples:
On PacaPages.com logo page, see Misty Mountains – liked the simplicity, the way the name was more prominent. And also Twillingate Farm – wonderfully simple, striking. And on stonebluffalpacas.com, see the Stone Bluff Alpacas logo.

Comments

  • Would the sunflowers pop a little more if they were outlined somehow? Another thing might be the color of Parsons’ Prairie Farm, if there was something that would work besides the brown?
  • I think the color is flexible at this point.
  • Does Parsons' Prairie Farms have a certain color of alpaca they like or a rarity they want to stand out.
  • This is pretty cool. A really nice variation.
  • This is nice. Love the font and the way it's incorporated into the graphics. I'd like to see the alpacas legs a little thicker and straighter and the fat lines around the nose, eyes and ears might be thinner or more refined.
  • Yes, I like that better.
  • How about University Roman font?
  • This rocks! The only change I might like to see are some variable font options or maybe make Parsons' fit over Prairie Farm. Or some artistic work with the font or other fonts, or?
  • ok thanks. I actually Googled your company's name and found the old logo while I was working on this concept. If you notice it still has the 2 alpacas and a sunflower. But if you don't like this concept I'll be happy to go in another direction. Thanks!
  • 2nd version of the yarn logo. made the font bigger and tried to help it relate more to the text. Also included an alternate color pallet and font version. Please let me know if these were more like what you were looking for. Thanks!
  • I marked this as needs work in case you want to modify it now that the original parson's prairie logo is available for viewing here: http://www.pacapages.com/images/parsons-prairie-old-logo.jpg As far as specific comments pertaining to this graphic, I think the shapes are too flat (lacking gradient, depth, 3 dimensionality) in color and too simplistic. And because I think you can only submit two graphics per person? I'm not sure, still trying to figure this out on my third contest. You might revise the other logo from the yarn first, I don't like this one.
  • you marked needs work, could you tell me what needs improvement? i.e. colors, the flower, etc. Thanks!
  • Here are photos of alpacas from Parsons' Prairie Farm that you might like to use as models for the alpaca portion of the logo. http://www.pacapages.com/parsons/alpacaphotos.htm
  • http://www.pacapages.com/images/parsons-prairie-old-logo.jpg Please see their old logo at this above web link. I'm unable to post an example at the moment, but hope to post this soon when I get a reply to technical support. But you can view it there in the meantime. Thanks! Liz
  • This is the OLD logo. http://www.pacapages.com/images/parsons-prairie-old-logo.jpg They like some elements of it and not others. They said, "We like the colors, we like the sunflower but we are not crazy about way the alpaca silhouettes look. We like the silhouettes idea, ours just seemed a little cartoonlike. We felt our farm name did not look like it fit it with the rest of the logo. We would like it to stand out a little more and be a more prominent part of the logo. "
  • My apologies for not getting the examples up earlier. I like including the yarn. Could you make the name larger and incorporate it into graphic element more, so it doesn't seem like two completely separate elements?
  • I am experience a LOT of technical difficulties with this website. Please except my apologies for not uploading the examples earlier. Examples: Examples: On PacaPages.com logo page ( http://www.pacapages.com/logos.htm ), see Misty Mountains – they liked the simplicity and the way the name was more prominent. And on that page, see Twillingate Farm – wonderfully simple, striking. And on http://www.stonebluffalpacas.com , see the Stone Bluff Alpacas logo.
