Project description

Caleb West Consulting is my personal Sustainable Business Consultancy. I work with small to mid-size companies in northern California to improve their profitability and business health via social and environmental sustainability. I am seeking a logo for web and print that conveys: -reliability - eco-awareness (without an earth, or hands holding baby plants - a leaf might work if done well, or a tree would be interesting) -efficiency -human compassion -and warmth. My customers feel the heart connection to the earth and each other, AND making money is very important to them. My brand appeals to the 'woo-woo' as well as the corporate, because my offering is a combination thereof. And it is that combination that makes me successful. I'd like to use one or more of the colors; Brown, Blue, and Green (see below, though I'm open to other interpretation). My company's values are: Integrity, Compassion, Attentiveness, Awareness, and Reliability. My mission statement is: "Every business should be able to make money and be a power for good in the world." One design experiment I would like to see would be variations on the acronym CWC in the style of the brand described. I'd like to include (if possible) some aspect of the 'Triple-Bottom-Line' approach to business (meaning instead of a single financial 'bottom line', a triple bottom line of People, Planet, and Profit). Thanks for the input and I look forward to the contest!

  • Thanks for this design - I like the concept of the stacked letters, I like the colors chosen and I like the feel here. The use of the leaf is subtle, maybe even a little too subtle... and also, the green letter in the middle looks like an 'e'. Is there a way around that? thanks!

  • thank you for these updates. I have eliminated them because the logos lack a certain warmth and artistry that feels important to my brand. While these logos appear clean and professional, they lack any kind of interesting catch, or differentiating characteristic. This is important to me because my brand is not just any business consulting. My offering is unique and creative, and my logo will be too.

  • eliminated because: 1) the text feels too medieval, and the white in the outline gives it an impression I don't really like. 2) the overlapping circles is a concept I like, and I want to see the circles overlap, I would want them properly aligned, and I want them in some way to convey the message of my brand which is something like "come to me to do better business by being sustainable" Thank you for this submission, but mostly I'm looking for a level of professionalism and cleanness beyond this logo

  • Thanks for this submission. I like this concept quite a lot. I appreciate the professional feeling it conveys, it is nice to look at, and the leaf works to describe that part of my brand. I would love to see some more iterations of this, perhaps with some variations on the leaf.
  • This is a nice iteration of the logo. I do like the framing of the text below. This curving of the W might be a bit too much though. The feeling I take from it is a little less formal than I want. There is something that I like about the rigidity of the W in #9, where it almost looks like a bar chart heading upwards. I don't want to give the impression that I'm too much focused on style, and while aesthetically I like the look of this, I don't feel like it communicates the brand in quite the way I want.
  • I like the idea here, and I appreciate your responsiveness to my request. Is there a way to bring in these icons or present them in a more subtle way? Thanks!

  • thanks! could you do a version of this without the larger size C and T in my name?
  • Like this concept! Can you try this with the W lower as right now at a glance I see a bike? Could you also do a couple of entries varying the case of the text for the name and word consulting? thanks!
