Project description

We are in need of a new logo.  We've used the same logo since my grandfather started the company in 1964.  Recently there's been a lot of changes and upgrades and we felt it was time to move into this century.  We're looking to keep the prominent K in the design.  It's has stuck out for many years.

The company is known for its knowledge and professional production of books.  We do a lot more than make books but that is one of the largest pieces of our business.  We also make presentation folder, pamphlets, and finish anything that the print industry can print.

We will need 2 versions of the logo in Vector file format.  We need one that can be used for social media purposes (following more of a square or round format) and one that is rectangular (for our stationary, business cards, etc.)

We've uploaded a few logos that we liked or felt they could work well with our elements.  We want to see your creativity though.  Our current colors are Navy Blue and Grey.  We'd like to stick with something along those lines but wouldn't mind adding Maroon or Forrest Green.  If you have other colors to add as accents we're open to it.

While we've given you guidelines, if you feel you have an amazing idea that would convey our purpose we're open to your idea.

In the end we need the K, we need the company name (at least on the rectangular version) and the tag line Quality Books

  • Hi there, I've designed this logo with all your requirements in my mind. The star at the top represents "Quality Work". The logo includes a book design, which points to the relation between the company and books. Also, the book design is colored with four different colors used for printing, which shows that the company also prints. Purple color is also used, as asked. The design also includes a banner which incorporates the company name. If you've any query, or would like to see any change, please get in touch. Your response will be highly appreciated. Thank you. #367

  • Hi, present your version of the logo. Book stylized bird. Symbol of the height of knowledge, fantasy and thought. #318
  • Logo Concept :
    - The logo can be used as one or separate, considering different media application.
    - Letter 'K' still used in or as the logo (round shape), I simplify the shape to be more catchy and updated whilst the "KNOPF & SONS" used a handwriting style that reflects the heritage and boldness of the company and gives an everlasting feeling to the logo.
    - Blue used in the round logo shape and black for the brand name, meaning trustworthy and reliable (I didn't go for grey but solid black instead to give a statement for the brand).

The main colour for the logo is just blue, black and white (applicable for the logo or typography to use in any background colour, I won't use too many colours as it will make it complicated when we need it in monochrome or black and white.)

I really try to honour your heritage and your company heritage.

    Best regards,

  • The history of the family business was important to us, therefore we used leaves to symbolize a family tree and the page of a bound book to represent the trees roots. Keeping the "K" front and center, your color scheme and "quality service" your customers will be quick to recognize and trust the new branding. #287
  • I made this classic and elegant logo by combining the letters K and S from the initials of your company. With an outline that wraps thin lines representing paperbound or combined. #285
