Project description

Here's a little background on us to help you get an idea of who we are...We are called "Top Shelf Music" and we consist of several Producers and Rappers located in Tokyo Japan. Our group is entirely made up of military personnel currently stationed out here. Because of that, we offer an extremely wide range of sound, from New York to Los Angeles, and from Chicago to Atlanta. We would like our design to reflect our diversity, our roots, and our professionalism while maintaining an urban feel. Is this something that you would be able to do for us? Edit: There are a lot of good ideas being submitted but after discussing the designs with the rest of the team we have come up with some thoughts to further help you guys. We would love an actual emblem, and we also want some sort of unique graphic that would easily remembered by people in our local area. One idea that surfaced from our talk was "a guy sitting, relaxed on a throne, with one arm dangling off the arm rest holding a liquor bottle. The other arm up and touching his chin, maybe a slight head tilt as if he was thinking." I don't know if this is something that is feasible as a lot of the designs are text based or are based off of simpler graphics. So please don't let our idea discourage you from continuing to post other emblems, as there may be one that really catches our attention. Ultimately we just want something to really help us brand ourselves. Thanks and I look forward to hearing from you, -CG

  • We like the trendiness of this, but at this time we've decided that an emblem/character would be better suited for our needs.

  • Although interesting, we don't feel like this design would work well in our industry.

  • While this has a nice look to it, we don't feel like this would work well in our industry as its a little too professional.

  • Love the simplicity and cleanliness of this but at this time we've decided that an emblem/character would be better suited for us. Keep this though, as we may contact you later about it.

  • We liked the simplicity in this, and we liked the design of the "M." But at this time we have decided that we want an emblem/character instead of text only.

  • We like the potential in this. However at this moment we feel like the logo resembles something that a restaurant would use. Can you make it a bit more "urban?"

  • What style should it be in? Would you maybe want a script?

  • I like the idea of the emblem, however I don't like the font that the T and the S are in, or them being joined together. Cool idea, but to me it feels like the T makes the two letters heavy on the left side.

  • I'll post some links for our music in a little while. Yes, "Top Shelf Music" should be the name.
