Winning design #28 by sanjeebsks204, Logo Design for Logo Design - Online Running Shoe Retailer Contest
Gold Medal

designed by sanjeebsks204

Project description

We are looking for a logo that is fresh, unique, crisp and conveys to the reader that we sell quality running shoes.

This project is for the design of 3 logos for Pro Running Shoes. One logo with no web extension at the end, one with a .com web extension, and one with a .com.au web extension.

Things I am looking for in the logo design:
- Differentiation between the 3 words that make up the business logo so that it is easily remembered
- Easy to read and not too intricate
- Has some link to a running shoe / sneaker as that is what the business is selling as an online retailer
- Easy to recall for an online search
- Delivery in the relevant formats for use on the web and print media
- Uses predominantly masculine type colours (e.g. blues, blacks, greys) as this is predominant target market
- I am amenable to use of an image of a running shoe as well perhaps as a silhouette (please ensure it is a running shoe look (check out Asics.com) for ideas of what a proper running shoe looks like

I quite like this logo and am interested in something along these lines:
www.chainreactioncycles.com

If this job is successful, there is potential for additional work for the winning designer.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to working with you and building a long term relationship with a great designer.

COMMENT ADDED 2/3/11 - IT WOULD BE GREAT TO SEE A DESIGNER CREATE A LOGO ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE CHAIN REACTION EXAMPLE. hAPPY TO SUBSTITUTE THE COG IMAGE TO ONE OF A RUNNING SHOE OR A PERSON RUNNING. I REALLY LIKE THAT LOGO.

  • hi. Not sure if the jagged edges on this really work. Would be great to see a revision.
  • hi. Not sure that the image of the shoe footprint really communicates concept of running. Would be great to see some further ideas.

  • Hi. Logo looks a little heavy and hard to discern from the shoe. Would be great to see a revision. Thanks
  • Hi. Logo coming along very well. It would be good to see some variations as follows: - shoe colouring as I am not sure it is just right at present - text (if you look at the chain reaction logo example I posted in the brief, I like how the text was compressed (look at the C in the first line as to how it sits with the R in the second line) - Also, would be good to see some options for the domain extension text. Keep up the good work! thanks
  • Hi. This logo looks a little heavy and not easily discernible. Would love to see a revision. Thanks

  • Hi. Thanks for your design. I like the fact that it is something different using an image of a runner and not a shoe. Could you try and mirror the fonts used in the example logo I submitted in the brief. Perhaps also some variations on the running man icon as well. Thanks in advance.
  • Hi. Thanks for your feedback. I don't think this really works in terms of creating a strong image. In my brief, I gave out an example of something that I really like. It would be great to see a revision from you along those lines
