Motion Graphics, Inc.

What a great experience. From start to finish it was fun and easy. We wanted a vast number of unique designs to choose from and that's what we received. We were thrilled with the number of designers posting entries to our contest and it was difficult to narrow it down! When we picked the winner there was a small problem with a vector file and Sharie at DesignContest was there on our behalf. She went above and beyond to be sure we were satisfied with our files. We chose a great design perfect for our company and we are thankful to DesignContest, our winner designer, and all the other designers who contributed to our contest. I'm glad we used DesignContest.

Project description

We are a family owned and operated company that converts old home movies, film, video, photographs, slides & negatives to digital formats, such as DVD or hard drive. We are currently having a new/updated website developed but having a hard time creating a logo. Check out our temporary site address (while under construction) for a feel of what our updated website will look like: (when site is done, the domain will be  Read home page and About Us page for info on us.  The color should compliment the Home page of the new website.  We also want the words separate from the emblem/logo, if you design emblem, so that we can use the emblem independent from the company name.

The old website mentioned above ( has our current logo that we are looking to replace (the film strip with the DVDs). It seems too literal and when placed with the new updated website feels outdated/ doesn't work. We are definitely looking for a brand.

Thanks to everyone designing!!   After seeing such great designs we gave decided we'd like the colors to be the following or combination of the following:
deep red/burgundy, gold, black and grey. (Shades of orange might be okay, too)

We seem to be liking interesting geometric designs more than the literal designs, like DVDs (though there are a few we like).

Owner does not seem to like circle shape. Try other shapes
