Project description

The online retail side of the business will appeal more to the general public and needs to present a modern, clean and easy to understand image for a company with a slight complex name (which has a double entrendre - man-goes-mapping & mangoes-mapping). Given our tropical context, and the personality of our owner (offbeat humour, quirky, fun, and environmentally sensitive) the challenge will be to represent the two meanings of the business name. Whilst not really sure what we want, the ideas we consider might include a bright orange mango fruit with stylised continents overlaid on it, representing the earth/globe. Simple is good - the name is complex enough... the name should probably be an adjunct to the main pictorial and not be the dominant component in the image. With our name, we are not wedded to the existing sentence case used, initially it was all lower case, but some clients seemed to have trouble with that as they are generally not GenY hipsters that get lower-case business names

  • #22 is a variation with a slightly more organic shape. Thank-you.
  • #21 Dear Contest Holder, Hope you'll like this entry. Thank you.
  • The work with the byline in #6 shows how it can be done well, and helps that rank highest, however a good design does not have to include it. Please do try another graphic - I like your creativity. Dank yer wel!
  • Nice graphic! I think the font is a little unclear but I can see you've tried to find a modern font. The light colour is a bit hard to see...
  • Dear CH, Kindly provide your feedback... --Kishore
  • Thanks to all who've entered this contest so far. For those who've made multiple entries, I rated your best entries specifically, and rated your other entries, at 11/100. This doesn't mean they are that bad, but it helps me review the remaining entries and clearly see those that are yet to be assessed. Thanks, Al.
  • I think this mango is too green and the logo a bit busy... font choice good. Terima Kasih!
  • Hi, Is it important for you to have the tagline in the logo? And are you okay with the shape on top or should I try something completely new? I'll make a modified version and up it soon. cheers
Hi, nice creativity with the reference to tropical northern australia, although in some ways it reminds me of catwomans hood. Nice font selection. Can you try again with more colour in the text, perhaps highlighting the 'goes'??
  • Sorry, comment placed against wrong design...

  • I like the orange of your #1 entry better. Pehaps the techie wireless graphic could be an oversized point on the I in mapping. Probably a bit too heavy in the text overall however. Still it is nice and legible...
  • great differentiation of the words in the businessname, however the image is a bit too formal and not colourful enough
  • The cartographic/continents are a little too formal, for a fun logo - ie. the top line of the maps is too straight. I think the mango is a little misshapen - take a look at other mango shapes submitted...
  • Nice work. Placemark graphic is a clever tough. Not too sure about the font and the quirky O, despite the brief. Additionally, the byline/catchphrase is a bit too dominant...
  • Good colour choices, nice font and inclusion of mango. I think that the text is a little too dominant though.
  • Love the double entendre! The font type is also good, as is the weighting for the byline. I think the mango shape is a little too 'inorganic' however, reminding me of a rugby/aussie rules football - focus any efforts on revision here...
  • Great visual with realistic mango shape and colourjavascript:void(0) and mapping pin, however the font is too busy and a bit too spearated, losing the double entendre... focus on changes to the text
  • This design is a little too busy for my liking, but I appreciate the effort made to differentiate man and goes...
  • "looking world with camera" concept
