Project description

We are a new general contracting construction company focused on the commercial market. We would like to see a logo that is assertive, abstract, and modern but not loud or aggressive. All color options are on the table. We would really like to see different designs from gradients to solid colors, shadows, just creativity. Our company volume is in the 200 million dollar mark so we are looking for a corporate identity but colorful not cold. The logo does not need to show "Construction Company" but we would like to see it both ways. Any other questions please ask. Thank you in advance! We are looking forward to your designs!

  • #2,#4 & #5 Hi Aljeanrey, I'm not a big fan of the Hexagon symbol. I'm really looking for something more industrious.
    • The Hard Hat is one of the symbols in construction where it also looks like a suit so I added the tie which is also 1 of the symbols in professionalism. Let me know if I'm going the right direction.

  • #12 & #13 Hi Egner! I like the fonts, color schemes and design box. I'm not a big fan of using the first two initials "RP" in there though. I'd like to see a simple design/shape in there or something.
    • Again thank for such a quick feedback. I have done a very simple shape inside a box #14. Maybe now is too simple?..

    • Unfortunately yes but I appreciate the revision. I know this is an unrelated field but if you Google "bp solar" logo you'll see the simplicity of what I'm looking for.

For this first concept I wanted to keep it industrious and signify that it is not only a construction company, but contracting as well. I created the buildings in an abstract birds-eye view to show your company is "above" the rest. :)Look forward to any feedback you can offer. Thanks Dina
    • Hi Dina! Thanks so much for your submissions. After this first round of submissions by everyone I want to try and help provide a better vision of the kind of logo I'm looking for. First, I added (4) images to my brief of top companies in our industry. You'll see the simplicity of the designs. Some are simply different fonts layed out in various ways (Turner and Oltmans), the others have a simple design with font (KPRS) or abstract image with font (McCarthy). I would like our logo to be designed in the same realm. In my mind I see "RYANPARKER" together (as in one word) but two separate colors in an IMPACT style font. Directly underneath would be "CONSTRUCTION COMPANY" in a lighter weight, more linear font like a Guardian Sans but reduced and spaced to fit perfectly. Maybe there's a line separating the RYANPARKER from the CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, maybe not? Finally maybe above or to the left a very simple shape or design to signify the company. What I really enjoyed about your and Aljeans logos for SunWorks was the simple, clean design. A circle with arrows merged in the center with a few colors with some gradient and an abstract sun with a shadow underneath. I hope this helped. I'm also running another contest for a business card, letterhead, envelope and banner design for SunWorks. I'd love to see you over there too! =)

  • #6,#7,#8 I like the different colors between Ryan and Parker. I'd like to see the names in (2) different fonts and weights. I'm not sure if using the initials is the right path for our company.

  • I'm not as big of a fan of the way these lines are compared to the quarter circles. I think the quarter circles give a nice dimension to the name.

    • I really like your design. Maybe stretch the "construction company" the full length under Ryan Parker for this particular design. Maybe you could try a couple different fonts. One idea I was thinking was to have Ryan in one weight and Parker in another. Again, I really like your design. Maybe just see what other creative idea's you have. =)

We are not sure how to give more insight into what we want. I guess we were hoping to see something and just say "that's it". Having said that we would like to go a different direction. Let's drop the design of a symbol logo and focus on making "Ryan Parker" the logo. We would like to see different fonts, colors, gradients, font weights, etc. We hope this makes the design easier.
