Winning design #81 by GJR, Logo Design for Schoolhounds Education Consulting Contest
Gold Medal

designed by GJR

Project description

We are an education consulting company that specializes in devising the necessary strategies to help students obtain admission/scholarship from top B-Schools

Generally I just want a visually clean, professional, yet creative logo design that has pretty bright + sharp + contrasting colour tones. What's also important for me is to have the logo to make the viewer feel that the logo is "snatching/grabbing/bitin/getting" offer letters

Although we are a consulting company that thrives in providing professional advise on papers, essays, resume etc, we also want to create a brand image that will appeal to target customers between ages 22 - 36 with a nice balance of professionalism, creativity, and passion

Should you have questions or additional ideas that I did not cover, feel free to let me know, and I shall respond promptly

PLEASE LOOK AT THE PICTURES THAT I HAVE UPLOADED UNDER "WHAT I LIKE" TO GET A FEEL OF THE STYLE/TEXTURE/COLOUR PAIRING/S THAT I PREFER

Thank you all in advance and Good Luck

  • Hi petersphwang~ I created a logo for your consideration in rich navy and gold that features a dog that looks proud of its accomplishments. Hope you like the concept. Kind regards, PaintedPony #110
  • the dog is fine but i think it's too cartoony #103
  • this is great EXCEPT THAT IT'S A LION, NOT A HOUND #108
  • feedback please :) #108
  • Using the color palette and origami inspired design requested, I've created a strong but approachable icon and used iconic school house typefaces to convey the nature of the organization at a glance. #105
  • Thank you so much for invite me on your contest. This is my first design, I hope you like my design. Please feel free to communications what you want. Thank you #94
  • thank you for your prompt feedback

the book-reading dog is nice but since our target customers are ages 23-36 i think we need an overall more mature image (don't get me wrong...i like your idea, colour, and shades) #85
    • @petersphwang Well, you're the boss. Thanks for the opportunity.

  • I like the fonts + colours and the outercircle of the logo

not a fan of the hound unfortunately

    any alternatives? #84
  • This one is less cute and hopefully what your looking for #83
  • hey man

this is pretty awesome as is

perhaps just a few adjustments around the book's edges (and ears, accordingly)

and maybe add a nerdy glasses?

    #81
  • i did one less cute #82
  • pretty refreshing design

may i know what the "blush" on the dog's cheek is about?

is there any additional feature to add on the logo to make it seem related to education? #77
    • GJR

@petersphwang I thought you may like to see something in contrast to my previous designs! I drew the "blush" just to give a bit more texture and definition to the design but I've added #78 if you prefer it without. I thought that the book outline around the hound was enough to relate it to education. Adding more details to these sort of designs often makes them too busy and less elegant but I can try to add something else relating to education if you like?

    • @GJR i understand your intention and i fully appreciate it the thing http://is...most of my clients come from a different culture and they just don't see it that way so it's unfortunate that sometimes we had to compromise for a less subtle route

@petersphwang I understand completely and i will work on this design more for you :) Do you have any further feedback or wishes for my previous designs #66, #61 ....? Thank you!

  • unfortunately this looks very much like a template... #73
  • not exactly a fan of the http://design...looks pretty elementary sorry #74
  • Will have submissions on paper etc, and can change any and all aspects like color, position, and shaping, etc. #74
  • nice clean design
the only missing piece is how to make it look like an education consulting firm #65
  • like the font more than the hound pic still #71
  • I like the clean overall texture/fonts/colours and i am assuming that you are trying to create a hound ear + nose inside the book

is it possible if the dog shape can be more clear and less subtle? Thanks #50
    • @petersphwang , ok I'll try work on that.

  • A happy geek corgi holding an extremely important letter! #69
  • Geek Corgi with a bit more detail in the pen and an important letter denoted by the star! (Oh... and a bit of smile on his chops)! #68
