Southern Mosaic
Fantastic overall experience. The designers all worked very hard and gave us something we were not expecting. Would highly recommend!

Project description
A catering company based in Kentucky. All of our dishes focus on taking classic southern dishes and giving them a fresh take with some fusion flair from our travels around the world. Since most of our catering involves weddings and working with lots of brides we need a logo that appeals to women but is not overly feminine. We also want a logo that evokes a warmth and comfort and speaks to the south without being too stuffy or cliche. Upscale looking but not garish. We are not opposed to adding the words "catering" or "kitchen" to the final logo.

Knife shown at a slight angle, Many thanks #176

Hopefully made it just in time! #174

Font and words really get lost on dark background. The lettering needs be much thicker. #172

Kris, I know we are down to the wire but can we see this in some darker tones? It's just a bit too light. Maybe a version that is a few shades darker and a version using a completely different color pallet like blues or something.

About #162, @shane2 Ok, working on it .

Anyway to see this without the fork and knife but with a chef's knife before the contest ends? #155

About #160, @QueenDesign It is an interesting take on the design. I like the mosaic tile elements. The S is hard to read in the graphic but once you see the curves you realize the secret. It is a good start.

I would like to see a version of this using a chef's knife instead of the fork and spoon, but I do like where you are going with it.

Better on the colors but they need to be richer and deeper like dark wood. The colors on the words do not need to be the same color as the block. #134
