Winning design #48 by nvillegas, Logo Design for Threading Lights Media Contest
Gold Medal

designed by nvillegas

Project description

We would like a logo for a media company focusing on telling creative, meaningful and inspiring stories through film. We are involved in a few different types of productions such as corporate videos, weddings, music videos, documentaries and short films. We are a company that strives for excellence in creating work that is inspiring and that motivates people. As the name suggests we envision that the logo would have "streams of light" and the "threading" or the "weaving" of lights with the lettering of the logo together. We are also open to other types of funky and fresh designs that do not include the streams or weaving of lights as suggested above. We will also be creating an animation to showcase the company so we need something that lends itself to being adapted for animation.

      |--| Sure! Please see entries #69, #70, and #71. Same concept (threading letters) but has a different execution and font. Colors can always be changed. Again thank you for your feedback and suggestions. Huge help! =)

  • Hi there, Thanks for your design. Could you try a few more designs. The symbol also looks too much like a cross.
  • Thanks. Yours are looking great. Is there a way to make the part with the light less distinct. Maybe a little diffused or shaded. Maybe thread a few of the lettering like #48.
  • Thanks for the new designs. You cant really make out the L in lights.
  • Hi all, thanks for your designs. We haven't found the right one as yet but maybe we can try a few with a symbol (pictorial mark or letter form) that people can immediately recognise. Keep them coming. Thanks.
  • Dear CH, actually, what ever I am having idea on logos, I would like to share with you, GENERALLY LOGOS SHOULD HAVE THIS POINTS: 1) There shouldn't be any complicate in reading, specially, when you look at far it will be more confusing to see and get what we are trying to explain in the logo, specially, while we are travelling and get just as one second if we can't see properly and there is no point in creating complicated logo (unreadble logo) 2) easy to print on any size from tiny to bigger size without smudging in reproduction, printing or blind embossing. 3) colors not too many minimum 2 colors will be better, that is your choice to select. 4) the logo should register in the mind not confusing. This is my suggestion, always whenever I do logos, always keep this point in my mind and do the logos, thank you so much that you given me the opportunity to do logos for your project, thanks a lot!!!
