Project description

Need a logo that appeals to high school students. The name of the effort is THRIVE in Burke County.  Logo supports a broad community effort to promote the great jobs available. Goal is to capture the students attention and visually inform them that there are great, high-paying jobs right here at home.

Am seeking both a very clean look (think Apple) and an edgy look that high schoolers will think is cool and will be great on clothing. Skate Board apparel comes to mind. Perhaps a gray-on-black with a pop of color. Also think about Arm & Hammer Baking Soda logo (round, bright).
Must be inviting, fun, non-corporate, non institutional. Must appeal to high school students, their parents and even middle school students.
Key words in logo: Thrive, and Thrive in Burke.
If possible, can use the geographic shape of Burke County (attached to this). It is shaped like the head of a howling wolf. Perhaps it can be made a little edgy, yet retain its identity.
