Winning design #65 by 3bdesigns, Other Product Design for ERKO Contest
Gold Medal

designed by 3bdesigns

Project description

Design the painting on a "reciprocating" blade range.

4 families of blades :

- to cut METAL

- to cut WOOD with METAL

- to cut MULTI MATERIALS (=METAL, WOOD and PLASTIC)

- to cut ABRASIVE MATERIALS (brick, cast iron, stone)

For the first 3 families, 3 "QUALITIES :

- K9 = flexible, light-duty blades

- K11 = medium flexible / rigid

- K16 = rigid, heavy-duty blades

Our colors : check LOGO (red / black / white).

It is possible to print on the whole blade ! The printed process can technically print photo. Extra colors are allowed, but must be useful for message.

Around the shank, we put the dimensions / reference of the blade : check attached file. ERKO logo has to be vertical (because the blades are vertical in the shop).

  • About #65,
Same design as #64 but removed the dotted lines (teeth region). The designs are centered to the body of the blade excluding the teeth region.

  • 1) Erko logo resized and moved slightly to the right to give space for the technical info as per the attached pdf in the brief.
    2) Red outline circle for the hole in the shank removed.
    3) Added a variant of 'Wood+Metal' as per the request.
    4) The designs have been moved a bit to the top so that it is centered to the body. The blade teeth region is represented by the dotted lines.

    @b_ossola #64
  • hello, this red circle is not necessary. #58
    • @b_ossola Do you mean just the outline circle or the whole circle setup with the texts inside?

    • @3bdesigns Hello, I mean just the red circle around the hole in the shank.

    • @3bdesigns Hello, I mean just the red circle around the hole in the shank.

    • @3bdesigns Hello, I mean just the red circle around the hole in the shank.

    • @b_ossola Alright CH. Will remove it

  • Instead of WOOD, it must be WOOD + METAL. The "+METAL" can be written a bit smaller. Because, in the first place, it's a blade for WOOD, in which some metal can be found. I put a file of WOOD and METAL in the doc. #58
    • @b_ossola Will change that as well. No problem

  • Please move up the design here : the blade has teeth, so design has to be centered on the body. #58
  • The ERKO Logo should be moved to the left. Because I need more white space on the shank to write the ref and technical info (please check my file in the document) #58
    • @b_ossola Alright Ch. Will move it

  • Dear CH, Please check my entry and give feedback, thanks #61
  • i hope you will like it and please tell me for any modifications #59
  • More variations carried out to make the color 'white' more predominant and at the same time maintaining the interesting colorful part of the design. @b_ossola #58
  • Slight variations made to make the overall design better CH @b_ossola.

    #57
  • Removed the color filter as requested CH @b_ossola #53
  • Hello. Please can you remove the color filters on the "material" photo (for all blades). Thanks. #49
    • @b_ossola Working on it right now CH

  • About #48, @3bdesigns
    Hello, thanks.
Can you please try this on the smaller blades (9'' and 6''), to understand how that would work ? Thanks.
    • @b_ossola Sure CH! Will do it

    • @b_ossola Actually the blade size in entry #48 is 9". Have added the other two sizes i.e 6" and 12" in my entry #49 :)
