Gold Medal

Project description

You can use the tools of your choice, a graphic tablet, monitor and mouse or just paper and pencil. You can even do a vector rendering of your Glass Etch design if you like. The image that you upload will be automatically resized to 640x480px but your best results happen when you go ahead and size your design 640x480 pixels. You  do not have to use the official DC canvas in this contest.. You keep all the rights for the image and you are free to use it for any future projects even if you win the contest. The only thing that we request is that the Glass Etch design  you submit here is done specifically for this contest and not an old work of yours.

The winner will be determined by the poll open to all registered members of the DC community. I am sure that the members will judge the creativity, the drawing skills and your sense of humor. Just as usual, the winner of this contest will receive a DC t-shirt from our store and will move one step closer to enrollment to the Elite Design Team.

I like the theatrical masks. this one has a very dark feel, not meaning the physical work but the way you have shown the subject, not bad like seed of chucky but maybe like little house of horrors maybe

Some of the overlapping circles look a little awkward, too thick and throws of the symmetry of the circles. I keep looking for the creature making all these bubbles

The flippers look off a bit, not sure what it is, the perspective maybe throwing the eye maybe but the large flipper looks out of place. I think the under water version is a little better although this one is nice. the black clouds seem to distract a little

  • Nice use of negative space, but this is very very busy. It would be hard to see this on a window or shower door, well for me it would. maybe a young teenage would like this design if they had own bathroom maybe I like how some of the fish are smiling!
  • About #5843 Reply 1 on : Wed August 25, 2010, 20:53:10 I like this, This has a peaceful beauty to it. I could see this on a shower door. This is very pretty and very nice use of negative space. I would like to see the environment expanded on. You have reef type fish so a more reef like environment would be very complimenting
