Project description

We are an e-commerce business selling telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other optical equipment for recreational and professional purposes.

Our target demographic is predominantly men aged 25 - 64 who are interested in astronomy, science  and travel. 

We are looking to modernise our current website to appeal to contemporary Australian trends but we would like to keep our current colour scheme. It needs to have a similar user browser experience focusing on ease of use and not drastic changes to our current layout. 

As our customers are predominantly masculine who are more technical and introverted, the website design must be aesthetically attractive to this demographic, portray a modern and futuristic flair to convey our brand image of a trustworthy and experienced optics dealer leading the Australian market, and encourage them to browse and research independently.

The website should also be less text-heavy, conveying as much information in a subconscious manner as possible (ie. using logos,  icons, shorthand).
