Why so few open contests? am I doing something wrong when searching?

Hi,

 

I'm new to DesignContest and am struggling to find contests to enter. Today, when I go to the Contests/Browse all Contests and select show all contests it shows 1469, but when I filter this to only show open contests, it reduces to 9. I can't believe there are so few contests open. I'm wondering if I am doing something wrong in my search or not looking in the right place. Any suggestions?

The number of open contests bounce up and down, in the past  week we have had 15 contests go into finalization.  

 

Good luck in the contests.

We also have 15 open active  1on1 projects running right now

and I forgot   ohhh maybe 20 in finalization right now from the last  2 weeks

note that there are no open contests today!! this is rare to happen.

check again from time to time.

 

In the meantime, (by playing with filters) you can check how contests look like to get familiarized with the platform; have a look at expired contests here: (which means time of the contest has ended, but client/Contest Holder (CH) didn't yet chose a winner, and may extend the time of their contest to get more entries/designs submitted, before picking a winner/s, and pass to the next stage which is Finalization; a private page between Client & Designer to communicate & collaborate on changes if any, and get ownership transfer signed, files transferred. When Client reviews & is satisfied with files, then he will approve, and release the prize. Then you can see it on your Finances page, and can make a withdrawal to your Paypal or Payoneer by requesting a payout. Payouts are made every Thursday, and it is not automatically processed, which means it is made upon your request, and with the amount of funds you specify)
