During one year or so the forum hasn't proven to be very useful - it was used mainly for spam-like threads and has very little to do with graphic design. I have removed it and I don't think anyone will miss it

it was. we are going to introduce a new version of DesignContest.net soon and it is important to clean up the website to keep only those things that work.

I've been here not very long, and I believe some of the new members are curious too about it, but as stated that the forum hasn't proven to be very useful, so perhaps it's best to remove it.
I expect that the new version would include similar purpose of the forum with improved system so it can be more useful
