Hi Hazzaps
Photoshop is a raster program & Corel draw is a vector based program
DIFFERENCES
1. Corel does color separations in the print function of the program. When you choose this option it then sends ALL the plates to the rip software or printer of your choice at once. The program not only allows you to separate into CMYK but Pantone colors as well.

2.The biggest difference is artistic control. All the creative effects you see are done in Photoshop. Corel does not have effects. But when you combine the powers of both you can have a nice looking billboard with a huge logo.

Things to be Kept in mind while you are making designs for Print Media in Photoshop

1.while creating the new document you must select CMYK colour mode coz colours which are choosen in RGB mode will change when they will be printed in CMYK mode.

This Will happen coz

a. RGB colour mode is an additive colour mode it add colours to bring out more colours so it’s more bright and vivid
b.while CMYK is a substractive process it suppress colours to bring out another colour.

2. choose a larger DPI so that your design wont Pixelate when you print it to bigger sizes

I like to use Photoshop for image processing, but for the purposes of a vector editing, I prefer corel draw. I think in this case, coreldraw superior.

Corel has it all... you just need to know where it it. I used to be a big fan of Photoshop but now it is Corel and X6 is working perfectly for me and I rarely need to use photoshop.

When we talk about color modes , it' is important to say that RGB color mode we use for publishing (showing) our work on monitors, pads,
mobile devices and any other kind of screens.
CMYK mode we use for printing our work on printers, plotters and similar devices.
Different between this two modes (RGB and CMYK) is crucial.

Dear Hazzaps,

This two softwere can not be compared.

1. Corel is for vector graphic
2. Photoshop is for raster graphic

Both of them are very good, for me the best.

The more beautifull and nice colors are in the Corel Draw, if you make your work with gradient. The problem is export in a eps for illustrator, because You cant colored the object that you are maked.

Photoshop is a good for photomontage, pop art, some retro style, some logos, but not all, magazines, etc., good for web slices.

In a Illustrator from Corel Drwa, the all objects created are the scaled, and cant colored, but can ungroup, and nothing will happened.
