Yes, your surroundings can influence your work a lot.Perhaps more of what I feel or mood. If I feel like going to the park then design would be somewhat earthy. If I feel like just listening to a specific kind of music, expect that it would reflect in my art
Always listen to music while you work. It great for inspiration, and it helps you remember and master certain technique more easily.

Influences depend on what type of project I am working on at the time. I think that a major influence in my designs is my state of mind at the time. If I am in a good mood, my designs are more organic and clean. If I am angry or sad, then my designs tend to be more gritty and detailed. So all in all, I let my attitude influence what I do with design.
