I have always struggled with developing a specific style unique to me. I am curious to know how others arrived at there particular design style. How did you direct yourself in the beginning? Was it easy for you? Did you stumble upon it? Or are you still searching?

Hmmm,

Well i think that a style can develope in two ways. One, i think that it is just natural, for example in my illustrations i have a style that is very distinct and people can quickly pick it out form a batch of illustrations, as for my graphic design i am still trying to find my style. Second, i think styly can be learned, maybe find a few different designers, if thats what your talking about, and try to mimic their style. Then you tweak that style in a few different directions to adapt your own techniques and make it your own.

I was thinking to, which sometimes isn't a good thing :p. But how long do styles last anyways, I tend to run with a certain style for a while and then it changes without knowing. So i think styles are constintly changing. Also, clients always influence your style, and you have to adapt your style to their needs.

Im sorta rambling, i have alot to stay but hard to just type it out on the spot. So, i guess thats all i got to say :p

Good Luck developing a style, dont forget to post work along the way so we can see it in the making!
