why JPEG,JPG is lossy?
can anyone explain why JPEG is lossy? while its file size is not that small
and PNG-24 remain in good...

how JPEG lose its quality?
JPEGs lose quality because when it is compressed, it removes pixel information. Less information = smaller file size.
PNGs are compressed differently. It creates a smaller file size but it doesn't remove pixel information, so the quality is usually better
