Greetings to you all!

I have been watching many of the contests on this site unfold, and have been impressed by the results of them. There are some truely talented people on this site, and I spent an hour remembering the exact keywords I used with Google to originally find this site (for some reason I didn't book mark it!).

Now that I have found it, I thought I'd test out the waters first, just to see what to expect in general on this forum before I start holding contests.

My first contest will be for an engineering firm; I just need a single template to work with. I'm a programmer myself, and I am just getting started with the artistic side of things now after shelling out over a grand for Photoshop CS2. I am currently very much an amature, having worked only with Paint Shop Pro before now.

So, witht his in mind, and this being a very important client to me, I thought at the last minute I'd leave the design to the professionals.

I'll also have to hold my own contest soon as well, for a logo design for my own company and a website template as well.

But, for now, I just wanted to say hello, and ask how long it usually takes to get through a content, because I will have one cheesed off client now, having delayed them yet again, so I want to get it done ASAP.

Thanks in advance for the input, and I am extremely sorry if I have done the wrong thing by posting this message.

Hi, Freedom,
Welcome to our community! I am sure you have already checked this page - as you can see starting contest is very simple. When the contest is launched the designers will do their best to get you and your client satisfied! Good luck with the contests! By the way, we'd be interested to see you in other forums on DC too - I am sure you could share your knowledge of web programming and scripting with our members!

You should get some excellent logo results, I've looked at some of the logo work and it's amazing. Welcome anyway.
