Who's your web host?
Now as a web host what would I have to do to convince you to try my service over your current host?

This day and age, the best results for hosting companies would be to have a referral program or a reseller program where the consumer can in turn make money themselves using your service.
Theres too many hosting companies who all claim to be the best. I currently use pjmco.ca reason being the heightened security on their servers. They have security cameras, restricted key card access and only 3 people have access to the server room. That sold me and their prices are cheap for a Canadian based company. I'm sure other companies take similar security measures but I don't see many flaunting it.
My 2 Cents.

I have completely free hosting unlimited. Its sweet. Do a search for websites that offer free hosting in exchange for forum posts. After my first 50 posts i got
-35 MB Disk Space
-500 MB Bandwidth
-5 POP3 Email Accounts [1 on Subdomain plans]
-1 FTP Accounts
-1 Subdomains
-2 MySQL Database
Not bad for free. Nearly all that doubles when i hit a further 50 posts. In one month I had free hosting. And the service isnt bad either because I use an A record repoint to my ftp space. So the server never experiences problems. Obviously you get what you pay for, but for free i'm not arguing
