I design mainly on MAC... why? Well for design it's just tooo sexy. It does everything just right.

I use pc, always used pc. I have everything set just the way i like it. I've had to use a mac a couple times now, each time felt kinda like playing with a kids toy, too simplistic for me. But userfriendness is good for a majority of the people out there.

yeah truely there is no one answer for this question. a voted for pc since i have been brought up on them all my life so that is the system that i truely know. Though as i talk the other side i have used macintosh's especially with the new improve X op that they have developed, and yes it works well, and i would use one if i my current software was mac.
but here in simple terms, for users who want a more standard industry pc which lacks looks and has a wide range of games and other appz plus is cheaper than pc compatible is the way to go.
though if u want to pay more and have a much more sleeker design that looks cool and want the best options available for designing than mac is the option at which to point.
truely u should have added another option to the forum for the ones who dont care and the ones who cant choose. lol
later.

I would've but then there would've been lots of liars i think
But I think the biggest advantage for PC is games and price. I can build 5 PCs for the price of one low end MAC. I use a PC at home, but MAC at work. I don't do nearly as much design on PC as I do my MAC, just the simple fact that I'm a MAC makes me want to design more.

I voted for PC, though I am not a designer, but the poll wasn't 'what you design on?' anyway, right?
PCs have more apps for them, are cheaper and have a more open architecture and more service centers and stores that sell them or parts for them. Mac makes sense if you're a designer and prefer a Mac, I guess, but it's just MO.

i use pc through and through - you got it right about the cheap thing. i've not used mac much, but that one button mouse :S whats the deal with that.i heard mac's like to crash a lot, not sure if this is true. personally i'm quite a custom the the old windows blue screen of death, it'd feel wrong without it

PC at the present time. I have worked with the Mac about 4 years ago.
The Powerbooks look real slick though. I think I would like to try one. When I need my next computer, I'll probobly go that route.....when I have the money

I actually use both. But my Mac is an old 7100/80 so the software I can run on it is pretty limited. I mainly use it to check the look of things on the net for compatibility issues. Someday when I have some loose change I'd love a new sleek Mac with the power to do great graphics.
