My Vector portrait

Ok, I finally finished working on this.
This is me on the vector portrait and this is my first work with Illustrator's meshes. I've wanted to try to make a photo realistic vector image of a person for a long time and since I didn't want anyone to get angry at me for ruining their face I used myself as the model.
Everything (as you can see on the outline image), except for the eyelashes and the hairs of the eyebrows, is done with meshes.
Well, there is still a lot to be done, a lot to be desired, but since it took me sooo much time so far, I decided to call it a day and touch up any details at a later (unspecified ) time.

It is a great vector illustration, but as some others pointed out, it's a little creepy. Your illustration approaches the border line of realism, but doesn't quite cross it and I think the creepiness arises from that. Personally I don't get the interest in attempting to create realism with vectors when: 1. rasters do it more intuitively than having to move points endlessly around 2. with the kind of detail you have added the vector is so bloated in size you have negated the typically small file size of a vector.
5mb for a vector file with any amount of detail isn't bad at all. Also - you can scale the crap out of a vector image and it's still perfect. So there are plenty of benefits.
