Did anyone else out there enter the Gravity Tour 2009 poster contest?
Anyhow, I had time to come up with 2 ideas. Here is part 1Posted Image

Here is the 2nd entry in the Gravity Tour poster contest I entered on sarabmusic.com .... It's over now, so I think there's no harm in me posting these... I hope nobody steals my work

Feedback on the two posters appreciated!!!
(see post - part1 for other poster)

i really like the style and color of the first poster. second one doesn't really pop or feel too exciting for me though. nice job overall :)

I like the second poster. I think if you added some of the floating piano keys (in the warm color scheme not black and white) it would be a stronger concept. Nice job!

Thanks for the comments...

Interesting idea to put the floating keys in the brighter poster. I never saw that as a possibility. What made you think that would make the design "stronger"?

I really liked how you incorporated the floating keys into the first design for the Gravity tour. Adding the floating keys to the second poster would add more visual interest—even though I think it looks great now. If I were to add the keys, I would make them distressed/grungy — like the style of the poster. :)

What is her name after all - Barellies or Barelles? - two different names on the two posters.
On the second poster you have written "Barelles" - This is actually the poster I like better from these two (but fix the name ;) )

Ooh, dang... that's embarassing.

It's spelled "Bareilles" .... could be why I didn't win, haha!
You can see the winning entries here

I still think the first one is better than the winners.

I agree with KHDZN. I like the feel of the second one but I think it needs more flow to lead the eye. There's not really any kind of hierarchy of elements. Adding the grungy keys strategically to help keep the eye moving downward would be great.

Both designs are good. I only have one suggestion: I would have used another font on the yellow one, maybe a more organic font.
