Some don't know this, but there is a weld tool you can use in Corel draw, to weld together objects. Just go to window, then dockers, then shaping, then select weld, and on the right a new tab should open. and you can also trim and intersect. I know it might sound silly of me to post this, but you should see how many people who use corel don't know about this.
