It takes about a month for the process. Take the time and look around DC you will find some very cool stuff and some outstanding info and help topics

U would be able to participate in the contests that is (open for Elite only)besides the open to all.. most of the recent contests for Elite.
also if ur portfolio includes web designs u can enter web design contests it's only for team members.
good luck:)

I read the four or five articles for becoming a designer but not sure on how to upload website links for my logo examples or illustration examples. Tell me is the application something I download and send in or is it a web form. And where is the link for the application.
THANKS to a newbie.

You don't need to have website design in your portfolio to become an Elite designer only if you want to compete in web design contest.

still confuse about the requirement "The optimal number of designs for each category...".
do that mean we have to fulfill all the requirements (in total 30-45 designs in portfolio)?
can we upload our portfolio outside DC contests to meet the requirements?

What are you confused about? If you don't do web design then your portfolio will not have web design same goes for illustration. 10-15 logo designs is not very many, same goes for the other categories

Please make sure your online portfolio contains the following:

The optimal number of designs for each category is as follows:

Logos - 10 to 15 (preferably closer to 15)

Websites - 5 to 10

Print - 5 to 10

Illustrations - approx. 10
