it's not about concept, it's all about maths. The vector programs like illustrator will work like this (this is how i can say it in english). for example a line...a simple line, the program will group and the mathematical equation for that line. And when you scale it, the program will scale on the equation of that line, and so you get a final line with the same atributes like the first and no raster effect. this would have been easier to say in my native language.
