Hey you guys and gals, building a new computer and just posting the specs I'm probably going to get, see what you all think of them and suggestions:
- Intel® P4 3.2GHz E (800FSB) Box CPU W/ MSI PT880-LSR Motherboard
- Geil 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2-64x64 Value Dual Channel DDR Memory 184Pin - Model #GE1G3200BDC - Lifetime Warranty
- Seagate 200GB ST3200822A-RK UATA100 8MB Buffer - Retail Hard Drive Kit
- Hercules Muse 5.1 DVD SoundCard
- MGE Gamer M1 450W ATX Case
- VisionTek XTASY 256MB AGP Video Card with RADEON 9600 3D Chip OR Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb
- MEMOREX 8x DVD-R & 8x DVD+R DUAL DVD±RW DRIVE
- MEMOREX 52X CD-RW/ 16X DVD-ROM COMBO DRIVE (only because it costs as much as a regular CD-ROM and its silver goes with the case)

- 56K PCI V.90 Fax Modem
Still trying to decide on the video card, my freind has a 9800 Pro and he runs Doom3 and FarCry very well...anyhow going to go to Fry's and shop around...
Oh and I'll probably buy a 3-peice speaker set havent really researched that yet...anyhow..Bye!

Well, after searching through numerous sources mainly Outpost.com these are the prices:
- Intel® P4 3.2GHz E (800FSB) Box CPU W/ MSI PT880-LSR Motherboard - 199.99
- Geil 1GB PC3200 400MHz 2-64x64 Value Dual Channel DDR Memory 184PinModel #GE1G3200BDC - Lifetime Warranty - 139.99
- Seagate 200GB ST3200822A-RK UATA100 8MB Buffer - Retail Hard Drive Kit - 119.99 + 60 rebate = 59.99
- Hercules Muse 5.1 DVD SoundCard - 19.99
- MGE Gamer M1 450W ATX Case - 59.99
- VisionTek XTASY 256MB AGP Video Card with RADEON 9600 3D Chip - 149.99 OR Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb - 159.99
- MEMOREX 8x DVD-R & 8x DVD+R DUAL DVD±RW DRIVE - 79.99
- MEMOREX 52X CD-RW/ 16X DVD-ROM COMBO DRIVE (only because it costs as much as a regular CD-ROM and its silver goes with the case) - 32.99
- MEMOREX RF WIRELESS KEYBOARD/MOUSE - 69.99
- 56K PCI V.90 Fax Modem - 14.99
The processor and the harddrive (especcially if you have a Fry's around you area) is an awesome deal and so is the combo drive anyhow..the total is around $888 plus tax which is pretty good considering a Dell, HP, or Sony with these specs would be atleast twice more expensive.
