Take a look at the animated header I designed

Make sure to turn your sound up nice and loud.

I was only given this logo as a refrence.

That's cool. I like the transition from solid to wire frame. How long did it take to do that and what did you use, if I may ask?

I used 3dsmax and flash. It took me about 8-12 hours to complete the animation since it was modeled entirely from scratch.

I did 2 renders 1 in wire frame and 1 fully textured and then faded between the 2 in flash to create that effect.

The customer liked my work and asked me to redesign the rest of their site...so now I'm working on it here check out THIS LINK

Interesting. Usually, I'm not a big fan of textured backgrounds. But, considering that this site is for bikes, I believe it fits the theme.

Cool.

Isn't your flash site on a textured background? I like your style in flash though, I'm still too cartoonish looking in a lot of my work. I'm always trying to be aware of that and focusing on the "less is more" concept as much as I can in an effort to tone down my own work.

I can see why you would say that, I've only seen a few textures that I really liked..one other one I can think of of the top of my head that looked like notebook paper that was cool.

I need to go back and render the animation once more with that asfualt texture as a bitmap in 3dsmax though...I created the one in max with the photoshop equivlant of render clouds, a tiled gradiant type of deal. We're also adding in another animated logo that was designed by someone else.

Let me elaborate. Yes...I do have a textured bg. :-) You got me on that. I was referring to a textured bg a little less subtle than mine. The one I have I whipped up in Illustrator. 2 grey lines crossing each other on 45 degree angles. No big whoop. It looks better than the plain white that I used to have and it subtle enough to do the trick, imho.

Thanks for the compliment on my style. I think that a bunch of my stuff is too icon-ish, cartoonish and square. I'm trying to expand my horizons, but I can be my worst critic. (That's why I usually ask other people what they think.)

It's always a work in progress :-)
