I just wanted to say hello, but I can't. I can't seem to be able to talk into my screen, so instead I just write H-E-L-L-O! I just joined!

I'm studying graphic design and have 2 more quarters left. Based on what I hear and read about what's out there (not to mention what I experience) I'm rather scared to be a designer. But then again, there are also many lawyers, politicians, programmers, painters, photographers, managers, taxi drivers, etc, etc, etc. out there, so not only the graphic design but other fields are depleted, too and competition is high. I don't consider myself a great or good designer, that's why it's scary. But I'll learn. Maybe.

Amongst other things, I need to get better at typography. I like technical illustrations, layout, logo/brochure design, etc. Not too much into web design. My all time, favorite proggy is AI. I like to answer technical and other 'how-to' questions, especially regarding AI. But again, I guess all of you know AI well.

Hey pentool,

Don't assume we all know AI. I am a complete loser when it comes to that. I tend to do everything in Flash, but am slowly working out how AI works. I am glad you like answering questions!! :D

welcome pentool. You know I see that AI is becomming the standard of the illustration programs. I was taught Corel Draw back in college and my past jobs have used that too, recently when I was looking for a job almost all wanted AI and no one mentioned CorelDraw.. so I am learning the program more
