Logos surround us everyday, but we rarely examine the thought and artistic thinking that goes into the design of these symbols.
As part of its Off Book documentary series, PBS takes a look at logo design—from its beginning of cave painting, to the complex visual designs of today—and interviews designers (Stephen Heller, Sagi Haviv, Kelli Anderson and Gerard Huerta) to break down the thought processes that go behind some of the world’s most iconic logos.

This was a great share! So much to look at, and a super helpful site if your just starting or need inspiration. Many people don't even look twice at simple things such as street signs and colors etc. But as a designer I feel everything for texture, I look at every logo and design differently than the average person. So cool to be involved in a community where people understand how I feel about design in every day life.

I thought art had many mediums to choose from.. But now I see a canvas on everything. I love images of street art.. 3D chalk images that are so surreal it puts you on a time warp of sorts. There is also one who drives to work every day only to use the vehicle as the canvas and where ever parked is the office.. lol.. Painting in the park just got reinvented..
