Nowadays, most industries are experiencing a significant shift towards social media as a means of developing and sustaining business streams. The graphic design industry is no exception, with sites like Pinterest and Facebook offering designers the chance to put their work on display and gain invaluable business contacts. Social media platforms also allow designers the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas with fellow designers from around the world. With this in mind, we’d like to hear from our designers at D.C. Which social media platforms do you find the most valuable and why ? How do you feel social media has changed the graphic design industry and are all these changes positive ? Whatever your views, we would love to hear from you ! You can vote for your favourite social media platform by clicking on the options above.

Best Wishes

Hi there!

I like twitter the most. Stupidly simple.
I had a Facebook profile and I decided to close it because it made me waste SO MUCH time!
I also like pinterest very much and Deviant art for inspirational and showcasing purposes.
Other two I don´t actually know them

Cheers,

DeviantArt, because it just doesn't stop at graphics, it goes ooo la la in the creative universe. Best inspirational site.
And then Facebook, being able to add your creative side along with your other daily silly stuff is such addictive...!

Facebook. However I see a serious problem through the eyes of the users view.
Users themselves violate the environment with share, share, share, share that, share that. OK I understand that if there is a really good article or a hell of a funny picture, then please share. But I don't see a point sharing 10 articles a day or 20 9gag pictures a day.
For me the main idea is to get exciting and up to date information, but I actually don't see that anymore because I just get tired of scrolling over these "share and win" or "share and like" posts when trying to sort out necessary information.
