Hello fellow designers,

After reading some posts in this interesting thread ...
http://www.designcon...html#post168962

There is a mandatory question to ask :)
What is YOUR MAIN INCENTIVE for entering DC contests?

My main incentives are:
1 - The chance to improve my Graphic Design skills and Creativity by getting real clients feedbacks and critiques that I can use in more complex standalone projects like DC One-on-One's or non-online projects.
2 - The chances to show my work to the world and get some public recognition.
3 - And last but not least, for the money of course (in my country (VE) $250 is equivalent to a base salary due to exchange regulations).

So, there they are :)
Come and tell us yours!

Remember voting!
You can choose multiple options

Cheers,

"It's a effective way to get feedback and IMPROVE MY SKILLS in Graphics Design"

Way back when DC was mostly all forum based, designers communicated more with each other. You were able to get outstanding feedback. We had community contests that were like classes also, those were fun. I was told many times how much they enjoyed the community contests. A very different kinship was formed with everyone then.

I've improved my design skills tremendously after becoming a part of DC. While I was pretty well versed in Photoshop, Illustrator always intimidated me. However it's so much more useful for designing logos and it's incredible what you can do. After taking a year hiatus I'm back and learning just how useful these forums can be. I've spent the morning browsing the Photoshop and Illustrator posts and have about 5 tutorials I'm excited to watch!

It seems I am here for the same reason as many others. I love designing & DC gives me the opportunity to stretch my brain. I love the feedback received, as it helps me to think things through in a different way.

I do this for income in order to help my parents in my studies. I love also designing, I can express my own feelings and creativeness through designs.

I do this for fun and to challenge my creativity. I haven't won anything yet, so it's certainly not for the money :-). I will say that my designing skills have improved since joining Design Contest ... so that's a plus, too.

My main purpose in entering DC is to improve more my skill when it comes in designing. And proudly speaking, somehow, I were able to enhance it in a several ways :) I believe that part of this improvement is whenever I see the work of others which I really appreciate so much. There are a lot of great designers here whom I can get my inspiration to do more and be better :)

i already voted in this poll...but there are other issues that could be mentioned, such as:
to get a sense of what is done in design throughout the world, since each country has a line followed by graphic designers, do not know if you agree with me
