Great news ... and need your support !

Hello everyone,

Here is the news, my girlfriend just got published !!.
She's a fantasy writer, she wrote a couple of book and several short stories (some of them published online or in magazine).

And She finally found a proper publisher for her first book.

Before publishing the book though (soon), they decided to publish one her short stories first (called "afterglow").

So if you don't mind supporting a brand new talented writer, because trust me, if you think designing is sometimes hard work, it's not much compare to write/edit/publish a book !!!
Also very important point,
I'd be very interested to have reviews and discuss the story with you(both native and non native english speaker (like me)).

One last thing, especially for girls and women around here, if you're fed up with boring, uninteresting female character in books (like stupid princess waiting for their prince) then you might like her books.

PS : I bought a kindle for the occasion ..and i'm quite surprise this is really good for reading !

I was expecting more support I still believe there's a great community here.
I love what they did the filipino thread ... So I've decided to use this thread as well to talk about books , I'm sure there are readers here .

I'm definitely sci-fi and fantasy reader ( tolkien, pratchett, scott card).
But lately I read two excellent book I recommend :

It's brilliant, I 've read a wild sheep chase from him before and really liked it as well. Defintely an author I like.

Written in the 50's but well written and great story.

So if you want to share some good books, please use the thread .... and manila come on, bring all the filipinos here !!!!
