Well, keep trying it isn't that hard once you learn the basics. The best way to learn is to make something. When I was just starting out I made a news script, and it made me learn a lot about how to write code.

I have never seen PHP for Dummies, but I would imagine it would be a good place to start. The php documentation is also a good place to look: http://www.php.net/docs.php

The "for Dummies" books are absolutely great!

Thx. Well I ordered "PHP for Dummies" and "XML All in One Desk Reference for Dummies" yesterday from booksamillion! I even started making a login system from tutorials online. And I now know how to create a MYSQL database. I can't wait till I learn more. Can't wait till the book comes too. Anyway, I may try out your shoutbox today.

I got mine at booksamillion.

Other places you can get it is at amazon.com or barnesandnoble. I found it was cheaper at booksamillion or barnes and noble IF you are in their "readers club" thing.

Start off at http://scriptschool.com

Use http://devnetwork.net/forums if you have questions that need answering, and use the php manual for reference.

I did about 18 months/2 years ago, and am now pretty good at it (see http://megaming.com ) :)

Other great books :-)

Sams Teach Yourself XHTML in 24hours
Sams Teach Yourself XML in 24hours (havnt finished that one yet)
Sams Teach Yourself PHP, MySQL and Apache in 24hours

Do you see a trend starting? I like the way the sams books are written they have 24 one hour lessons and then alot of them have online references.
Best Regards,
Adam Wilkinson
