To add text to images using PSP do the following:
.Launch your Paint Shop Pro and go to File and click Open.
.Browse to the image that you want and then click Open.
.Find the foreground color from the right side of your screen. Click inside this box and select the text color and click OK.
.Click the button that resembles a slightly tilted "A" in the bottom left corner, third from the bottom, and then click the image. This opens the Text dialog box.
.Select the font you want to use.
.Edit your font attributes: Font size, bold, and placement.
.Type in your text inside the box and then click OK.
.Drag your highlighted text and place it where you want, then right click to remove your selection. Drag the text off the picture, to delete the text.
. Go to File-> Save As and save the new picture with a different name .
