I started this not really knowing where it was going, and I still don't know the final result. Currently, it's themed on an egyptian princess. If you ask me, it looks like a cross between Pocahontas, Prince of Egypt, and Alladin. *sighs* :o
All vector, full face...whenever I finish :D.

Critique very much welcome.

edit:
the only part not vector is the preview bars and title. but, who really cares, right?

It's a good start, you have all the besic elements down, now all you need to do is all a little detail and some shading and you'll be well on your way.

Keep up the good work,
Mario

this is a good way of developing your vector drawing skill...I have one suggestion though...maybe you can ad some contrast on the face part by drawing some vector shadows and highlights. I used to do it when creating bobbleheads and it will make some details on your drawing come alive...if you want it to be an egyptian princess then you must put something so that it can be recognize as one...e.g. a crown cobra (like cleopatra's):)

The eyes are looking good, but you can even play up the black eye liner on the top lids a little more for that egyptian feel

One thing that would look more Egyptian -- they were famous for their very shaped hair (ie - straight-cut bangs) and the black soot with which they painted their eyes. This person would look more like one of the slaves. For a princess she might have a headband-style tiara? I know you want to keep it simple but with your talent (the drawing you've done is LOVELY) I bet you could find a way to work that kind of stuff in with minimalist appeal that doesn't overwhelm your original concept.
