Hey, the past few days i've been working on a logo design. I think this is the right place to post this. Anyway, can i have your input? What do you all think?

The business is a construction business named Wright Douglas. Thanks for the comment.

It works in black and white, and you don't lose much detail with resizing.

The word "construction" seems rather tacked on. I would almost say lose the type altogether and refine the pyramid, making it the focal point.

It's been said many times, the company has to speak for the logo, not the other way around. I feel that the pyramid by itself would look more crisp and iconic, which is what they're looking for. Putting the words in may seem necessary, but I've learned it's not always the case.

I don't want to sound harsh or like a know-it-all. Hope the comments help in some way.

Yeah, I just feel it looks more clean.

Plus, it just doesn't seem as hefty now, you get the point across without hitting someone in the face.

I don't know what to do with "construction". Maybe make the "c" lower-cased and than work on the kerning in order to make it span the bottom of the pyramid. It's already fairly close to that now.

These are just suggestions, you've got your own style and you should follow your instincts.

Hope the comments help.

Looks really good. But maybe you can try some more contrast on the colours?

are those the colors the company decided upon? I guess for a construction company i wouldn't think of those type colors. JMO

looks preety good but it would look a bit nicer(my opinion) if u have the colors a bit brighter because right now, it looks kinda "flat" not in a 3d sense but the image doesnt have tht "kick" :p anyways thts just wht i think...the logo itself is very nice.

i think it's great however the "Construction" does seem a bit out of place in the middle maybe a bigger triangular design with wright douglas construction underneath it.. my opinion. I like the colours and it looks very professional.

i agree that the "costruction" is floating abit on the bottom. perhaps incorporating the Wright Douglas back into the design(so we know what WD stands for) at the base of the pyramid, and keeping with the shape of the pyramid strech "construction" out a little to each side for a base, with wright douglas above is a bit narrower and the pyramid capping the whole thing off. that way the logo stands alone as a definite image and we then can associate the image with a name.
Just a suggestion, hope it makes sence.

This must be construction company made of teepee building tree huggiing girl scouts. It does have an ecological feel. Is the company environmentally friendly? Are construction workers going to like this logo? Are they manly enough to pull it off. Probably so.

Glad you got rid if the missile.

Maybe the top corner could have a darker blue.

I think CONSTRUCTION should be your darkest green, in all caps, and bold to support the image. There is an O on both sides of the word for the corners of the triangle.

Your design is starting to grow on me... like fungus. The WD has very thin lines, which is fine, especially with the light colors. The W is cool but where the D breaks the edge of the triangle into white bugs me.

The Avant Guard type font is kinda Frank Lloyd Wright.

Any more concepts?

The logo would be great if the colors were different.

Pastel green and blue aren't good enough for a construction company. Maybe a fierce color like red accompanied by a pleasant color like blue would do the job.

I am not feeling construction and I don't see a pyramid, I see a triangle. But that's just me......If they are eco friendly, I think you can still incorporate that into a stronger image. Good luck with your project.

It does give the sense of an eco-friendly builder, which is nice. Kind of high-end. I like the way you changed "Construction" to be smaller but think you should definitely use both versions -- the pyramid only AND the one with the larger names spelled out -- there are good reasons to have a horizontal version and a square version of any logo you design.
