1. From your  Adobe Fireworks, open a document with the bitmap image you want  to crop.
2.Select image, and you will notice that it will get surrounded by a blue outline with sizing handles.
3.Go to "Edit" ->"Crop Selected Bitmap." The image will now have black, dashed outline around it and the sizing handles will become black. 
4.Click on any of the sizing handles and drag inward or outward to set your cropping area. 
5.you can use the other sizing handles if you want to resize the cropping area.
6.Double click anywhere in the dashed outline surrounding the image. The image  is now cropped, and any part of the image outside the dashed outline is now deleted.
