Hi there Routh. Not a bad effort although I don't think interlinked rings are what the CH would have been looking for in that contest.

I'll give some critique on the design because I always find it useful when other designers critique my work and I hope you will too :)

The shading where the rings cross over is ok but there's some weird gradients at the bottom of the orange ring and the top of the blue ring. The rings would also be on an opposing tilt, so some light and shade to emphasise that would give more depth. You need to choose a light source and do all of your highlights and shading based on that and you'll get much nicer results.

The reflection doesn't work very well because you don't have a flat baseline so it has become too distant.

Your choice of colour is not bad but the gradients are a bit grubby looking, try starting with a yellow/orange then add more red rather than just adding black. you'll get a cleaner looking gradient.

I hope that doesn't cause any offence and will help you.

BTW, I could not have done this at your age so well done and keep at it!

I didnt take any offence,and seriously i loved the way you described and pointed out where i was wrong,thank you it helped me a lot,and ill try to improve myself.
