Hey there! :)

I've been curious for quite a while now,
is it possible to create 3D extruded text layers
in Photoshop?

I've used AE and Video Copilot's E3D in earlier
projects of mine, but I wonder if it's possible
in PS or Illustrator.

Cheers
Zoli

Normally I use to just use cinema 4d
But in Photoshop its just a matter of playing with the perspective then duplicating the text layer and adjusting gradients to get the same extruded effect. I can't Fully explain it but yes it can be done. Its just easier to use a 3d program.
You can google a tutorial on it I saw one a few years back

If you want a free software, Blender is good
