I was using Corel Draw for designing but recently have used Illustrator, at beginning it was confusing and complex for me but now its getting comfortable to use.

I think in the near future, people may know AI more than CorelDraw which use to be on of the best vector design program. Corel shoul d pay more attention to enhance their "great child."

Well, I never really liked corel draw. I started with Fireworks then moved to illustrator and it has being cool so far. If i need a job designed in corel format i would simply convert AI format to CDR format and thats all.
Illustrator is awesome... No doubt.

All that you do in Corel you can use for Illustrator. You can convert the project in curves in corel, and save the project as Ai.

Ai is a good for colors modes, trace image, 3D efects etc. The easiest way to do it in prepress-books, newspapers, etc. Why not try Ai too ;)
