Hi, don't you forget to check out the new versatile pencil tool in illustrator. You can do wonders with it. There is a walktrough when you update to the latest software.:D

Hi , It's not a new tool as such, its a All-new Pencil tool in Adobe Illustrator CC, an improved tool that lets you draw curves more accurately, with options to extend paths, draw straight lines, and close paths. You can also use presets to create smooth paths with fewer points or more precise renditions of actual strokes.

I got creative cloud, you need to keep up with updates and latest features. If you search for new pencil tool in Illustrator CC, you'll find videos with explanations that are really handy.
