Hi,

I was wondering what a web design contest is for in DC.

I received invitations to participate in web designs from time to time. But I have no idea what exactly a web design contest here is looking for.

Are they simply graphic designs for the layout of the webpages? Or the designers have to design both  layouts and functions, such as some java languages, etc.?

Also, if it's simply for graphic layouts,  what format do they request? vector? or simply bitmap?

Thank you for your help, rajagee.

If it's pdf involved, then I guess it's only for graphic design.

I guess I have to try to participate one to figure it out. :)

The contests here are only for designing (any contests). Althought many clients doesn't understand this or they simply want a designer who can implement their site too. Usually they say this in the brief, or they ask during the contest if you do coding as well. Anyway, coding is optional. You can read here more about web design contests https://www.designco...ebsite-contest/

Regards!

Thank you, ramsro. It's great to have a clarified guideline on this. Thanks a lot.

The best thing to understand any kind of contest is to read the description that client provide in the contest.. The designcontest offers only on design contest..
